Lucknow, April 24, 2026: Uttar Pradesh is set to celebrate World Tai Chi Day 2026 with great enthusiasm. The Dragon Academy of Martial Arts will organize events across multiple locations in the state. Notably, lakhs of students are expected to participate in this global wellness celebration.

Annual Global Event Promotes Health and Balance

According to Gyan Prakash Tripathi, Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Kung Fu Organization, World Tai Chi Day is an annual event. It is celebrated every year on the last Saturday of April. This year, it falls on April 25, 2026.

Moreover, the event is supported by the Kung Fu Federation of India and various state units. Activities will take place across districts in Uttar Pradesh and other parts of India.

Importantly, World Tai Chi Day 2026 aims to improve physical and mental health. Trainers will guide participants using simple techniques. These include breathing exercises, slow movements, and meditation.

As a result, participants will better understand self-defense in a spiritual way. They will also learn how to boost immunity and manage stress effectively.

Global Movement with a Unique Format

The event began in 1999 and has now spread to over 80 countries. Interestingly, it starts at 10:00 AM local time in each country.

It begins in New Zealand and moves across Asia, Europe, and America. Therefore, a continuous wave of positive energy flows around the world throughout the day.

Tai Chi offers several health benefits. For example:
