Celebrating Indian culture and values through the launch of the Chhota Bheem comic series for young readers across the country.

New Delhi | 8, August 2025 : The Publications Division of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has launched a brand-new Chhota Bheem comic series at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This launch is a step towards promoting Indian stories and local content for young readers.

Comics with Indian Values

The comic series is made in partnership with Green Gold Animation Pvt. Ltd. It features Chhota Bheem, a brave and kind-hearted boy from Dholakpur. His stories teach values like courage, honesty, and teamwork. These stories are based on Indian culture and folk tales.

At the event, Shri Bhupendra Kainthola, Principal Director General of the Publications Division, said, “Children should read stories that connect to India. Our traditions and values must be passed on in simple, local ways. Stories in mother tongues help children stay close to their roots.”

Growing India’s Content Industry

Shri Rajiv Chilaka, Founder and CEO of Green Gold Animation, welcomed the support from the government. He said that India is growing fast in areas like animation, comics, and gaming. Government initiatives such as WAVES 2025 are helping the country lead in content creation.

Inspired by the WAVES Summit

This comic release follows the ideas shared during the WAVES Summit in Mumbai. The summit called for more Indian stories in books, films, and digital media. The Chhota Bheem comics bring that vision to life.

Fun and Learning for Kids

These comics are full of fun and adventure. At the same time, they teach good values. Parents who grew up watching Chhota Bheem can now share the stories with their children in a new form. This makes the comic series special for all ages.

A Big Step for Indian Storytelling

With this launch, the government supports home-grown content. These comics will help spread Indian values, boost reading among children, and support local creators. The Chhota Bheem series is a strong step forward in telling India’s own stories.
