Union Bank of India Wins Universal Design Award 2025

Union Bank of India wins top award for digital accessibility and inclusive banking services.

Lucknow | 20, August 2025 : Union Bank of India has won the 16th NCPEDP – Mphasis Universal Design Award 2025. The award was in the Role Model Companies and Organizations category. It highlights the bank’s push for digital accessibility and inclusive design.

Key Projects

Union Bank of India earned the award for four major projects:

  • The CBDC App with simple, accessible features.
  • An Accessible Digital Library for disabled employees.
  • A corporate website built on WCAG standards.
  • Union Access, a program for accessible banking.

These steps show the bank’s focus on fairness. They also prove its effort to reach every user.

Award Ceremony

The award was given in New Delhi. Shri Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, presented it.

Shri Sanjay Narayan, Chief General Manager & Zonal Head, Delhi, and Shri Jithender Maniram, General Manager, IT Department, Mumbai, received the honor for the bank.
