Uttar Pradesh Leads in E-Governance with e-District Portal
Lucknow | 4, July 2025 : Uttar Pradesh’s aggressive push towards digital governance is showing remarkable results. According to the June ranking report of the e-District portal, Kasganj has emerged as the state’s top performer for timely resolution of online certificate applications.
Kasganj District Sets New Benchmark in Digital Delivery
Kasganj ranked first by processing 13,810 out of 14,013 applications on time, achieving an impressive 98.55% success rate — the highest in Uttar Pradesh.
Key Certificates Delivered Online
Through the e-District portal, citizens can easily access essential certificates like:
- Income Certificate
- Caste Certificate
- Residence Certificate
- Birth/Death Certificates
This digital service eliminates the need for physical office visits, saving time and effort for both urban and rural residents.
Other Top Performing Districts
Following Kasganj, Meerut and Kannauj secured the second and third spots respectively:
- Meerut: 29,937 out of 31,186 applications processed → 95.99% success rate
- Kannauj: 19,984 out of 21,197 applications processed → 94.28% success rate
Districts Ranked 4th to 10th
According to the report, these districts also performed exceptionally:
- Budaun: 94.20% (24,826/26,355 applications)
- Sitapur: 94.13% (57,945/61,560 applications)
- Others in Top 10: Maharajganj, Mathura, Kanpur Nagar, Etah, and Amethi
District Magistrate Speaks on Digital Progress
Kasganj District Magistrate Medha Roopam credited the achievement to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of simplified, citizen-centric governance through technology. She highlighted the administration’s continuous efforts to streamline services for every resident.
