Hyderabad Roadshow Builds Momentum for India’s Biggest State-Led Trade Fair

Hyderabad | 13, July 2025 — The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 is getting strong support across India. Its latest roadshow was held in Hyderabad at the FTCCI (Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry).

Hyderabad Hosts Second UPITS 2025 Roadshow

This was the second roadshow after Delhi. More than 150 business leaders, exporters, trade consultants, and industry groups took part. The goal was to share how UPITS 2025 will help small businesses, artisans, and industries grow.

A Big Platform for Uttar Pradesh’s Industries

Shri Rakesh Sachan: “UP is India’s Growth Engine”

Shri Rakesh Sachan, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister for MSME, Khadi, Village Industries, Sericulture, Handloom & Textile, was the Chief Guest. He said Uttar Pradesh is “India’s growth engine.” He spoke about development, jobs, and new trade links.

“UPITS is more than a trade show. It is a big platform for our small businesses, artisans, and industries. It covers many areas like handlooms, ODOP products, electric vehicles, and green energy,” he said.

Shri Raj Kamal Yadav: Turning Local into Global

Shri Raj Kamal Yadav, IAS, Additional Commissioner Industries, said UPITS is India’s first international trade fair by a state.
He gave an example:

“Last year, UPITS helped local artisans get business worth ₹500–600 crore. One craftsman got an order from Tanishq. This show is giving small producers a chance to sell worldwide.”

FTCCI Backs UP’s Trade Push

Shri Suresh Kumar Singhal, President of FTCCI, praised Uttar Pradesh for bringing its full trade network together. He called for more partnerships between states to boost domestic trade and exports.

UP’s Strong Economy: Key Facts

Shri Sudeep Sarcar, CEO of India Exposition Mart Ltd. (IEML), shared some facts about UP:

  • UP is India’s 3rd largest economy.
  • Its GSDP is ₹21.74 trillion, which is 8% of India’s GDP.
  • UPITS 2025 is expected to help businesses make deals worth ₹2000 crore.
  • It will have 2400+ exhibitors, 1.25 lakh B2B visitors, 4.5 lakh B2C visitors, and 550+ international buyers from over 70 countries.

He said,

“UP and Telangana are strong in industries. Together, they can grow IT, textiles, handicrafts, and pharma.”

New Features at UPITS 2025

UPITS 2025 will have:

  • Special B2B meeting areas
  • Buyer-seller meetings
  • Displays for ODOP (One District One Product)
  • Export clusters

This will help show what Uttar Pradesh makes and sells.

More Roadshows Coming

UPITS 2025 is organised by the Government of Uttar Pradesh with IEML, one of Asia’s largest exhibition centres. The next roadshows will be in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.
