Lucknow | 22, June 2025 : Uttar Pradesh is rapidly emerging as a national leader in MSME-driven industrial growth. After the success of flatted factory complexes in Kanpur and Agra, the state government has greenlit new projects in Lucknow and Ghaziabad to strengthen its micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) infrastructure. Simultaneously, the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) has launched plot allotment for its flagship Dhuriyapar Industrial Township, set to transform Purvanchal into a major industrial hub.
Flatted Factory Complexes in Lucknow and Ghaziabad
Inspired by fully operational flatted factory models in:
- Kanpur: 15,500 sq. ft. with 162 MSME units
- Agra: 38,500 sq. ft. with 200 MSME units
The Uttar Pradesh government is now building similar MSME-ready complexes in Lucknow (7,901.6 sq. ft., 48 units) and Ghaziabad (9,734.21 sq. ft., 40 units).
These plug-and-play industrial spaces are designed for businesses seeking:
- Lower capital investment
- Modern infrastructure
- Immediate setup opportunities
“Following the Central Government’s approval, construction in both cities is already underway,” an official spokesperson confirmed.
MSME Infrastructure Boost Across Uttar Pradesh
As part of its 2022 MSME Promotion Policy, the state has:
- Developed 235 industrial estates (77 full-scale and 158 mini estates)
- Created 947 industrial plots and 10,179 industrial sheds
- Enabled the launch of over 11,126 MSME enterprises across the state
This infrastructure push has opened up new employment avenues and entrepreneurship opportunities, particularly in semi-urban and rural regions.
GIDA Begins Plot Allotment in Dhuriyapar Industrial Township
Simultaneously, in Gorakhpur, GIDA has commenced the plot allotment process in the Dhuriyapar Industrial Township — a project personally approved by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Key Highlights:
- 600+ acres acquired across 17 villages
- First-phase allotment in two key industrial sectors
- Simultaneous land acquisition and allotment to fast-track growth
- Expected to be the largest industrial land bank in Purvanchal
“This region, once considered backward, is now primed for rapid development,” said GIDA CEO Anuj Malik.
The Dhuriyapar township is projected to attract domestic and global investors, offering a robust industrial ecosystem in Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
