Lucknow | 25, July 2025 : The Uttar Pradesh Transport Department has rolled out strict rules to boost School Vehicle Safety. Schools across the state must now follow clear steps to protect students while traveling in buses, vans, and hired vehicles.

Schools Must Check Vehicles and Papers

Each school must ensure that its buses and vans have valid permits. Moreover, they must have fitness certificates, insurance, and pollution checks. Without these, no school vehicle can operate. Following these rules is vital for strong School Vehicle Safety.

Safety Tools Now Mandatory

In addition, every school bus or van must have working safety tools. These include GPS tracking, CCTV cameras, a fire extinguisher, a first-aid box, and an emergency exit. Schools must inspect these tools often. Missing or faulty safety gear puts students in danger and breaks the new norms.

Drivers Must Be Verified and Fit
