CSR initiatives boost rural livelihoods and digital literacy across Uttar Pradesh under Dalmia Bharat Foundation’s Republic Day initiatives

Lucknow | January 27, 2026: Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd, marked Republic Day 2026 with impactful community programs in Uttar Pradesh. Through livelihood creation and digital education, the Foundation reinforced its long-term commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
Republic Day Initiatives by Dalmia Bharat Foundation in Uttar Pradesh
As part of its Dalmia Bharat Foundation Republic Day initiatives, DBF carried out focused interventions in Nigohi and Hardoi districts. These initiatives aimed to boost rural income, promote self-reliance, and expand digital access among youth.
Microenterprises Launched Under Gram Parivartan Program
At the Dalmia Bharat Sugar plant premises in Nigohi, nine new microenterprises were inaugurated under the flagship Gram Parivartan Program. These included:
New Livelihood Units in Nigohi
- 7 E-rickshaws
- 1 Cosmetic shop
- 1 Vegetable grocery shop
These microenterprises are expected to generate annual incomes ranging from ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,50,000 per beneficiary. As a result, rural families will gain stable earnings, better financial security, and sustainable livelihoods.

Digital Literacy Drive Through WOW Bus Program in Hardoi
Alongside livelihood initiatives, DBF strengthened its focus on digital empowerment. In Gangapur village of Hardoi district, the Foundation celebrated Republic Day through its WOW Bus Program.
Certificates Awarded to Rural Students
At Pramila Devi Shishu Shikshan Sansthan, 45 students received digital literacy certificates. The program, launched on October 16, 2025, has already trained 135 children. Currently, 75 students are undergoing training.
This initiative equips rural youth above 14 years with essential digital skills. Consequently, students are becoming more confident and future-ready.
