Techtextil India to Launch ‘ReCycle Zone’ with SPE India

New ‘ReCycle Zone’ at Techtextil India 2025 to Showcase Simple, Scalable Recycling Solutions

Mumbai, Maharashtra | 11 August 2025 : Techtextil India 2025 will have a new feature. It is the ReCycle Zone. The zone is set up with the Society of Plastics Engineers India (SPE India). The event runs from 19 to 21 November 2025 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai.

A Place to Turn Waste Into Products

The ReCycle Zone will show ways to reuse waste. It will bring together people from textiles and plastics. Recyclers, machine makers, startups, and officials will join.

“This zone will show green technology. It will also help people work together,” said Raj Manek, Executive Director, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings Ltd.

What Will Be There

At the ReCycle Zone, visitors can see:

  • Recycling of clothes and farm fabrics
  • Making fabric from plastic waste
  • Fibre and yarn regeneration
  • Sorting and shredding machines
  • Green certification tools
  • AI in waste work

Talks and Learning

SPE India will run short talks. Topics will include:

  • How to design for reuse
  • Industry rules
  • New waste recovery ideas
  • Green tech investments

“We are proud to work with Techtextil India. The ReCycle Zone will share ideas and create solutions,” said Ramesh Parasuraman, President, SPE India.

Part of India’s Green Plans

The ReCycle Zone supports LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment). It also supports PM MITRA Parks. These plans aim to make factories more eco-friendly.

About Techtextil India 2025

Techtextil India is a trade fair for technical textiles. It also covers nonwovens and composites. The 10th edition will have 12 sections. These will range from protective wear to smart fabrics.

On 18 November 2025, Mumbai will also host the India edition of the Dornbirn Global Fibre Conference.

About SPE India

SPE India holds events for the plastics industry. It helps companies share ideas and work on green solutions.
