PNB Organises Blood Donation Camp on Pan-India Basis to Mark Vigilance Awareness Week 2025

PNB Hosts Nationwide Blood Donation Drive During Vigilance Awareness Week 2025

New Delhi, October 29, 2025: Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, organised a Pan-India Blood Donation Camp to mark the observance of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, held from October 27 to November 2, 2025.

The event was conducted under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility”, highlighting the bank’s commitment to ethical conduct, transparency, and social responsibility.

A Nationwide Initiative to Promote Compassion and Integrity

As part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, PNB organised blood donation camps across its offices and branches nationwide. At the Head Office in New Delhi, the event was conducted in collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society.

This first-of-its-kind initiative saw overwhelming participation, with over 3,200 units of blood collected through 123 camps held simultaneously across India. The drive not only demonstrated the employees’ sense of duty but also reflected PNB’s culture of integrity and humanity.

Leadership at the Forefront of the Initiative

The blood donation campaign was led by Shri Ashok Chandra, MD & CEO of PNB, along with Executive Director Shri D. Surendran and Chief Vigilance Officer Shri Raghvendra Kumar.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Ashok Chandra said:

“PNB’s Blood Donation Camp exemplifies how integrity extends beyond professional conduct to acts of compassion that strengthen our social fabric. By donating blood, our employees have shown that vigilance and empathy together create a more responsible and humane organisation.”

His statement underlined how vigilance, when combined with compassion, can inspire positive action beyond the workplace.

Vigilance and Humanity: Core Values of Governance

Echoing the same sentiment, Shri Raghvendra Kumar, Chief Vigilance Officer, emphasized the human side of good governance.

“Humanity and honesty are two important pillars of good governance. Donating blood saves lives and reflects our commitment to service with integrity. For us, vigilance means genuine compassion backed by strong ethical values.”

This message perfectly aligned with the theme of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, promoting the idea that vigilance is not only about compliance but also about caring for society.

Promoting a Culture of Responsibility and Service

Through initiatives like the Pan-India Blood Donation Camp, PNB continues to encourage employees to uphold ethical standards while contributing to community welfare. The campaign serves as a reminder that vigilance is a shared responsibility — one that unites transparency, compassion, and social impact.

Moreover, such initiatives inspire individuals to go beyond professional duties and embrace values that promote collective well-being.

The Vigilance Awareness Week 2025 celebrations at PNB stand as a testament to the bank’s dedication to honesty, humanity, and national service. By merging vigilance with compassion, PNB reinforces that integrity is not only about governance — it’s about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
