‘Traders’ Delegation Meets LDA Vice-Chairman to Push Key Demands
Bhartiya Udyog Kisan Vyapar Mandal Delegation Meets LDA Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar

Lucknow | 18, July 2025 : A delegation from the Bhartiya Udyog Kisan Vyapar Mandal recently met Lucknow Development Authority Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar. The team included UP President and BJP leader Ajay Tripathi Munna, National President Ritesh Gupta, National In-Charge Hafiz Jaleel Ahmad Siddiqui, and UP Cement Dealers Association General Secretary Manish Modi.
They thanked the LDA for acting on old demands of the business community. Moreover, they asked for new changes to improve the Lucknow Development Authority Commercial Policy further.
Relief for Businesses in Residential Areas
For years, traders have wanted relief from action against running small businesses in residential zones. They also asked to mark busy business zones as fully commercial. This time, the delegation appreciated the LDA for taking these steps.
In addition, hotel owners and other traders working from homes welcomed the extra freedom. Clearly, this step under the Lucknow Development Authority Commercial Policy makes doing business in the city easier.
Road Width Benefit Should Be Extended
Currently, traders enjoy this benefit only on roads wider than 24 meters. However, the delegation demanded that this rule should also cover roads that are 18 meters wide. Extending this change will help many more shopkeepers work without worry.
LDA Promises to Support Business Community
Vice-Chairman Prathamesh Kumar thanked the traders for showing trust. He said the LDA will continue to work for the growth of businesses in line with the Uttar Pradesh Government’s goals.
Besides this, he assured everyone that the Authority will take more good decisions when needed. His promise boosts traders’ trust in the Lucknow Development Authority Commercial Policy.
Future Looks Promising for Lucknow Traders
This meeting shows that Lucknow’s business community and the LDA are working together. Because of this cooperation, local traders expect fair rules, new business chances, and less red tape.
As more policies open up, Lucknow could soon become a top choice for small businesses and hotels. Such steps will create more jobs and stronger local growth.
The LDA’s steps prove that balanced urban planning can support both development and business freedom. Small traders, hoteliers, and shop owners can now look ahead with more hope and fewer hurdles.
