What is HDFC Bank Parivartan?
HDFC Bank Parivartan is the bank’s main CSR program. It helps young people learn skills and earn a better living. Since it began, Parivartan has trained more than 720,000 young people all over India. This big success is shared on World Youth Skills Day 2025.
Two Main Goals: Skills and Jobs
1) Training Young People for Jobs
The bank runs over 70 training projects in different states. These cover:
- IT services
- Shops and retail work
- Hospitals and healthcare
- Factories and production
- Farming and agriculture
The courses last 3–6 months. They follow the National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF). Young people learn about finance, hotels, tourism, beauty, clothes, building work, and teaching.
About 60%–70% of students get jobs after finishing the training.
2) Helping Villages Earn More
Parivartan also helps people in villages. It teaches them how to run small businesses. Over 600,000 people have learned new ways to earn. This includes:
- Goat farming
- Keeping bees
- Weaving cloth by hand
- Growing mushrooms
- Making compost
- Doing organic farming
This helps families make steady money.
New Step: Parivartan Skill Academy in Jaipur
A new training center has opened in Jaipur. It gives local training for jobs and small businesses. This academy is part of a big network. The bank wants to train 200,000 more youth in the next few years.
Where Parivartan Works
The bank’s skill programs reach many states. This includes Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra, Mizoram, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal. Training happens in cities and villages.
Training for Everyone
Parivartan supports all people. Over 4,300 people with disabilities have been trained too. This gives everyone a chance to grow.
Boosting Young Entrepreneurs
The bank also runs youth pitch events. These help young people share ideas and start new businesses.
