CM Yogi Adityanath Acts to Stop H5 Avian Influenza in Uttar Pradesh
UP CM orders quick, united action to stop H5 Avian Influenza, protect wildlife, and safeguard public health

Lucknow | 13, August 2025 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered quick action to stop the spread of H5 Avian Influenza. He said the safety of birds and animals is the top priority. He also warned that no carelessness will be allowed.
Strong Rules in Zoos and Bird Parks
The CM told officials to improve safety in zoos, bird parks, national parks, wetlands, and cow shelters. He said they must follow central and state rules without delay. All teams should work together for fast results.
Zoos must be cleaned often. Blow torching can be used when needed. Vets should check all animals and birds every day. Staff must inspect food before giving it to them.
Staff Training and Safety
Yogi Adityanath said staff duties should match the level of risk. This will help them work safely. All workers will get training on H5 Avian Influenza signs, how it spreads, and how to stay safe. They will also get PPE kits and safety gear.
Watch on Poultry Farms
The CM said poultry farms need strict checks. Teams must make sure they follow health rules. The movement of poultry products will stay under control. The Health Department will study the disease’s effect on people and report fast. This will help stop its spread to humans.
Work with National Agencies
Yogi Adityanath called for close contact with the Central Zoo Authority, National Centre for Disease Control, Ministry of Health, Department of Fisheries and Dairy, and the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Bareilly. Their advice should be used quickly.
United Effort is the Key
The CM said only fast and united action can stop H5 Avian Influenza. All departments should share information quickly, work together, and protect people and wildlife.
