Uttar Pradesh to Promote Farm Stay Tourism

UP launches farm stay tourism policy to boost rural jobs, support farmers, and attract more visitors to villages

Lucknow | 11 September 2025 :  Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has started a new plan to grow farm stay tourism in Uttar Pradesh. For the first time, the state is inviting investors to build and run farm stay homes. This step will turn farming and village life into a tourist attraction.

Tourists to Enjoy Village Life

Farm stay visitors will get a chance to enjoy farming, cattle care, and local cooking. They can also join in cultural events and festivals. Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said the project will give tourists a unique rural feel. At the same time, it will create new jobs in villages.

Incentives for Investors

The government has offered support for new projects. For projects worth ₹10 lakh, a 25% grant will be given. For ₹50 lakh projects, the grant is 20%. Projects of ₹200 lakh will get 15%. For ₹500 lakh projects, the grant will be 10%. The highest amount of help will be ₹40 lakh.

Benefits for Farmers and Villagers

By promoting farm stay tourism in Uttar Pradesh, farmers can earn extra income. They can turn part of their land into guest houses. This will bring money to rural areas and also protect local traditions.

Experts believe this move will open new doors for rural tourism. Visitors will enjoy simple village life with modern comfort. With government help, farm stay tourism in Uttar Pradesh is set to grow fast.
