Netafim India Celebrates 60 Years of Precision Irrigation

Lucknow | 25, July 2025 : Netafim India, part of Orbia’s Precision Agriculture business, marks 60 years of precision irrigation and farmer support. The company is a leader in drip irrigation and helps farmers save water and grow better crops.

Six Decades of Helping Farmers Grow More

For 60 years, Netafim India has worked to bring new irrigation methods to farmers. These methods help farmers use less water and get bigger harvests. Today, more than 1.2 million farmers in India use Netafim’s solutions.

With precision irrigation, farmers can grow 30–40% more crops while using up to 50% less water. These smart ways of farming help protect the environment and ensure enough food for everyone.

Large Farmer Education Program

To celebrate this milestone, Netafim India will run a big training program. It will reach over 1 lakh farmers in ten states. The program will help small farmers, women farmers, and farmer groups.

Employees Join the Celebration

Netafim India has more than 1,200 employees. They will run a special “Celebrating 60 Years of Leadership” campaign. The campaign will include:

• Voices of Netafim: Employees will share their stories.
• Training Programs: To build skills for new farm leaders.

Events will happen in all Netafim India offices, factories, and farms. These events show the company’s promise — “Where Purpose Comes to Life.”

New Tools and Smart Solutions

Netafim keeps making new tools for farmers. Last year, it launched GrowSphere™, a digital tool that helps farmers make better choices every day. It also launched the world’s first hybrid dripper to use water better.

In India, Netafim launched the Toofan dripline for small farms. Farmers use tools like Uniram™, DripNet PC™, Typhoon™, and PCJ™ Drippers to get better crops in states like Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Uttar Pradesh.

A Legacy of Innovation

Netafim began in 1965. A year later, it made the world’s first drip irrigation tool. For 60 years, it has led the world in precision irrigation, fertigation, and smart farming. Netafim India will keep helping farmers grow more food with less water for many years to come.
