Uttar Pradesh to Develop Integrated Manufacturing Clusters in Agra and Prayagraj at ₹1,046 Crore

High-impact industrial clusters in Agra and Prayagraj to boost manufacturing, employment, and investment in Uttar Pradesh.

Lucknow | 26, June 2025 : Uttar Pradesh is making a strategic leap in industrial development with the announcement of two new Integrated Manufacturing Clusters (IMCs) in Agra and Prayagraj. With a total investment of ₹1,046 crore, these state-of-the-art hubs are poised to transform the manufacturing ecosystem in the state and attract major national and international investors.

The Agra IMC will be spread over 1,058 acres in Rahan Kalan, while the Prayagraj IMC will cover 351 acres in the Karchana block. These integrated clusters will offer modern industrial infrastructure including plug-and-play manufacturing units, research and development centers, incubation hubs, and skill development facilities. Supporting utilities like internal roads, uninterrupted power supply, water access, ICT services, and green zones will ensure these hubs are fully equipped for seamless operations.

The project is being implemented under the National Industrial Corridor Programme with support from the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC). A Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) named Integrated Manufacturing Cluster Agra Prayagraj Limited has been created to manage and execute the development. The SPV is a joint effort between the Central Government and the Uttar Pradesh Government, ensuring strong institutional backing.

UPSIDA (Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority) will provide land and infrastructure support, playing a crucial role in on-ground execution. Both manufacturing hubs are expected to be completed within 36 months, making them a fast-track initiative aimed at enhancing industrial competitiveness.

These IMCs are expected to generate large-scale employment, boost exports, and provide a modern platform for MSMEs and traditional industries. They are designed to support ease of doing business with pre-built infrastructure, thereby reducing the time and cost of project setups for industries.

By focusing on integrated manufacturing, logistics efficiency, and workforce development, Uttar Pradesh is positioning Agra and Prayagraj as model industrial cities that contribute significantly to the state’s $1 trillion economy vision. These clusters are not just industrial zones—they are catalysts for economic growth, innovation, and regional development.
