PNB Launches WhatsApp Demat Service for Easy and Secure Investor Access
PNB Expands Digital Investor Services Through WhatsApp Banking

Punjab National Bank has taken another strong step in digital banking. On 06 February 2026, Punjab National Bank introduced a Demat Viewing Facility through its verified WhatsApp Banking channel.
With this move, PNB WhatsApp Demat service aims to make investor information simpler, faster, and more secure.
As a result, customers no longer need frequent branch visits to check their Demat details.
What Is the PNB WhatsApp Demat Service?
The PNB WhatsApp Demat service allows eligible customers to view Demat-related information directly on WhatsApp. The service is available to customers whose Demat accounts are maintained with PNB as a Depository Participant.
PNB operates as a DP with National Securities Depository Limited and Central Depository Services Limited, ensuring reliable and compliant access to investor data.
Because of this integration, Demat information can now be accessed in just a few steps.
Key Features Available on WhatsApp Banking
Through WhatsApp Banking, customers can securely access:
- Demat statement of holdings
- Transaction statements
- Outstanding charges and billing details
- Facility to report lost Delivery Instruction Slips (DIS)
In addition, users are guided smoothly to the PNB One App and Internet Banking platform. There, they can open new Demat accounts, access trading partner services, and explore PNB’s depository offerings.
Strong Focus on Convenience and Security
According to Shri Sudhir Dalal, CGM – Business Acquisition & Relationship Management Division, the initiative has been designed to simplify Demat access. By using WhatsApp, dependency on physical branches is reduced. At the same time, investor participation is encouraged, especially among first-time and long-term investors.
Therefore, the PNB WhatsApp Demat service supports both convenience and secure digital engagement.
Boost to Financial Inclusion and Digital Banking
This initiative aligns with PNB’s broader digital strategy. It strengthens customer engagement while promoting financial inclusion. Moreover, it supports India’s growing investor base with easy-to-understand digital tools.
As digital adoption grows, services like PNB WhatsApp Demat service help investors stay informed and confident.
A Step Forward in Customer-Centric Banking
With the launch of Demat services on WhatsApp Banking, PNB continues to focus on secure, simple, and customer-first solutions. The initiative reflects the bank’s commitment to modern banking needs while keeping accessibility at the core.
Clearly, this move positions PNB as a proactive player in India’s evolving digital investment ecosystem.
