PNB Signs MoU with MSC India Consulting to Strengthen Last-Mile Credit Access
Partnership Aims to Boost Inclusive Finance at the Grassroots

04, February 2026 : Punjab National Bank has taken a major step toward financial inclusion by signing a strategic agreement with MSC India Consulting Pvt. Ltd. The PNB MSC India MoU is designed to strengthen last-mile credit access and expand institutional finance for underserved communities across India.
The collaboration places special emphasis on women micro-entrepreneurs and self-help groups, ensuring that formal credit reaches those who need it the most.
Focus on Women Entrepreneurs and SHG–Bank Linkage
Under the PNB MSC India MoU, the bank will work closely with MSC India Consulting Pvt. Ltd. to deepen credit penetration among women-led enterprises. As a result, more women at the grassroots level are expected to gain access to timely and affordable financial support.
Moreover, the partnership will strengthen the Self-Help Group–Bank linkage programme under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission and State Rural Livelihoods Mission frameworks. This approach will help bridge existing credit gaps in rural and semi-urban regions.
PNB Reinforces Commitment to Inclusive Growth
By signing the PNB MSC India MoU, Punjab National Bank has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to inclusive and sustainable development. The initiative is expected to improve credit flow at the last mile while also promoting responsible lending practices.
In addition, structured support and on-ground facilitation will enable SHGs to integrate more effectively with the formal banking system.

Commenting on the development, Shri Shyam Sunder Singh, General Manager (Agri), Punjab National Bank, said the initiative marks a significant step toward empowering women-led enterprises. He added that sustainable livelihoods can be created when credit delivery becomes timely, accessible, and inclusive.
