Indian Team Joins Global Tai Chi Contest in Taiwan

Taipei, Taiwan : The World Tai Chi Federation has chosen Grandmaster Gyan Prakash Tripathi as the Director for the 9th World Tai Chi Championship. The announcement came through an official press release by Grandmaster Ya Wen Quan, President of the Federation.
A Proud Moment for India
According to Manju Tripathi, General Secretary of the Kung Fu Federation of India, the eight-member Indian Tai Chi team has already reached Taiwan. She expressed happiness and said this is a proud moment for India.
She added that Gyan Prakash Tripathi’s appointment reflects India’s growing recognition in global martial arts. Moreover, it shows how Indian Tai Chi experts are now leading at the world level.
150 Countries Competing in the Championship
This year, more than 150 countries are taking part in the World Tai Chi Championship. Thousands of athletes are competing in various categories. The event promotes balance, peace, and cultural exchange through Tai Chi.

In addition, it encourages fitness and mindfulness among participants. Athletes from every continent have gathered in Taipei, making it one of the largest Tai Chi events ever.
India’s Hopes Shine Bright
Under Gyan Prakash Tripathi’s direction, the Indian Tai Chi team looks confident. The Federation expects the players to win multiple medals and make India proud.
Tripathi said he feels honored to represent India on this international platform. He also hopes to inspire more young Indians to learn Tai Chi and other martial arts.
