Dalmia Bharat Foundation Opens 19 Micro Enterprises in Uttar Pradesh

CSR initiative creates new jobs and boosts rural entrepreneurship in Ramgarh and Jawaharpur

Lucknow | 18, August 2025 : Dalmia Bharat Foundation (DBF), the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Ltd, opened 19 new micro enterprises in Ramgarh and Jawaharpur, Uttar Pradesh. The step aims to support small businesses and create new income sources for rural families.

New Ventures in Ramgarh

In Ramgarh, DBF helped villagers start different businesses. These include:

  • Five e-rickshaws in Mahsui, Bargadiya, Bankarampur, Madhiya, and Saraiyan
  • A cosmetics cart in Narveerpur
  • A fast-food cart in Bartal
  • A cosmetics shop in Sarwa
  • An electric repair shop in Majlishpur
  • An automobile repair shop in Trivedi Nagar
  • A barber shop in Mahuakol
  • Four kirana stores in Shankarpur, Saraiyan, Khyokar, and Bhattapurwa

The launch was attended by Mr. Aga Asif Beig (Plant Head), Mr. Uma Kant Pathak (Cane Head), and Mr. Dinesh Yadav (HR Head), along with the DBF team and senior officers of Ramgarh Chini Mills.

Growth in Jawaharpur

Jawaharpur also welcomed new ventures. These included:

  • Three e-rickshaws for Gazipur, Jawaharpur, and Jihuri
  • A cycle repair shop in Fariha

The program was joined by Mr. Tej Narayan Singh (Plant Head), Mr. Ashish Bansal (Cane Head), and Mr. Vivek Kumar (Deputy Manager, HR), with senior officers of Jawaharpur Chini Mills and the DBF team.

Support and Benefits

Dalmia Bharat Foundation gave financial help to each entrepreneur. The beneficiaries also added their own money. In addition, they received credit from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and banks. As a result, every venture is expected to earn ₹50,000 to ₹1,00,000 each year.

“Small businesses bring big change in villages. With training, money, and support, people can earn steady incomes and improve their families’ lives.”

This Independence Day project shows DBF’s goal of inclusive growth. It is not only creating jobs but also helping people run their own businesses. Therefore, villages will become stronger, and families will become more secure.
